Outreach in Needle is sequences: a series of emails with waits in between, sent automatically from your own mailbox.

Create a sequence

Go to Outreach in the app and create a sequence. You define:
  • Steps — the emails, written as templates. Needle personalizes each one per candidate from their profile and the job.
  • Waits — how long to pause between steps (for example: intro, wait 3 days, follow-up).
  • Sender — which connected mailbox (Google or Microsoft) the emails go from. Recipients see a normal email from that person.
A sequence only sends while it’s active — activate it from the sequence page when it’s ready.

Enroll candidates

From the pipeline, select candidates and enroll them in a sequence — a fresh sourced shortlist is the typical case. Each candidate moves through the steps on their own schedule.

While it runs

  • Replies stop the sequence for that candidate automatically — no follow-up goes to someone who already answered. The reply appears on their timeline for you to take over.
  • Per-candidate control: from the sequence’s page you can pause one candidate, skip a step, or edit their next queued message without affecting anyone else.
  • Metrics on the sequence page show sends and replies per step, so you can tell which messages work.
