# Screening

> How applicants are evaluated, and where to see the results.

Every inbound applicant is screened automatically when they apply. There's nothing to configure beyond the job's hiring criteria.

## What the agent does

It reads the CV and the answers to your application questions, then evaluates the candidate against each criterion on the job. The result is a per-criterion verdict with a short explanation grounded in the candidate's actual background.

## Where to see results

Open the job's **Review** view — each applicant is listed with their assessment attached. The same assessment also lives on the candidate's profile.

## Acting on results

From the Review view, advance an applicant into the pipeline or reject them. Screening never rejects anyone on its own; it's input for your decision, and the full CV and answers are always one click away.

## Improving results

Screening quality tracks criteria quality. If assessments keep missing something you care about, that's usually a sign the criterion isn't written down — add it to the job and new applicants are evaluated against the updated version. See [writing good criteria](/jobs#writing-good-criteria).
